[Following is a volunteer review of "The Truth About Plumbing" by Avram Friedman.]
The Truth About Plumbing by Avram Friedman is a detailed explanation about the pros and cons of plumbing. The author starts with how he developed the skills needed for plumbing when he was working in Israel. He describes the importance of plumbing in everyday human life. Initially he states that all human problems are rooted in plumbing. He states how leaking pipes can destroy houses. Leaking drains can cause health problems. The plumber soon realises that if something will go wrong it will go wrong.
He gives a detailed description of the materials used in plumbing and drainage pipes and mentions the pros and cons of each.
Next he mentions the problems faced by plumbers when they get to work. Some people consider them to be dishonest. They sometimes get sued for no fault of theirs.
The plumber has to work under very difficult conditions and in a cramped workspace bearing the extreme heat and humidity.
While clearing blacked drainage pipes they have to manually remove the waste accumulated in the pipes.
The author mentions in details about the hazards of the material used in plumbing.
A detalied descrption of solar heaters is also included.
Finally he suggest that we grow new homes instead of building new homes. Finally he shares his experiences while working in various situations.
I have no complaints about the book and i learnt a lot about plumbing .Editing is very good. I give a 5 out of 5 stars rating for this book.
