Review of Demon Freaks by J.R.R.R (Jim )Hardison.

The story begins on day prior impending SATs .Twin brothers Bing and Ron Slaughter and their band mate Meatball are skating on thin ice with their teacher Mr.Brom .After a song they perform at their last school dance ,doesn't paint him in flattering light .They decide to gather at meatball's family cabin for study session/band practice .The night is dark and stormy ,Kaitilyn their other band member is late as usual due to her obsession with long showers .Out of the darkness of the night , stumbles in Mr.Brom ,bruised and dishevelled ,wearing long black cloak.Ron decides to bring him from the storm, maybe in hopes of repairing their relationship with the teacher .

In comes Mr.Brom with a Magical Dagger ,Gromgerok the demon blade .He is currently possessed by the spirit that resides in the blade and is being chased down by the Servants of Darkness(SOD),who seek to retrieve it .The friends quickly regret their act of kindness,as their teacher tries to attack them.Mid -scuffle the blade falls to the floor and the slaughters are able to tie him down .When meatball goes to get the blade from where it fell,he soon discovers its no ordinary blade .It tries to compel him into its evil scheme .The Servants of Darkness invade the cabin ,the boys are forced to flee. The blade's psychic hold on meatball grows,he deserts his friends pushed by the demon blade's secret agenda. The brothers are left without any means of escape ,but Kaitilyn arrives just in time to rescue them .They quickly get on meatball's tail,to try to save him .It at this point ,that these friends become embroiled in more than they could have anticipated.

In attempts to rescue Meatball, the brothers and Kaitilyn discover another group of villains also after the blade.Turns out the Local Golfers association is an evil organization who sole agenda for the blade is to unleash a demon and gain immense power .Kaitilyn and meatball become unwilling sacrifices after they are captured .Bing and Ron are tasked into rescuing their friends .What was suppose to be a simple study night because an unforgettable night where they battle evil golfers, the SOD ,monsters called teeth heads aided by a non governmental agency called MCoDD.To stop the demon summoning that would assuredly unleash terror and destruction on the world .

The book is classified as C/T/M/H ,definitely has all these elements .The story development keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time .The characters are tested to the extreme.Their perspective on themselves and each other is altered as they are put in difficult situations .Seemingly ordinary high school kids, who by the end of the night are turned into heroes .The villains of this tale are unrelenting in their agenda. Therefore making this tale a funny and an easy read .I loved how the author makes the heroes and the villains endearing to the reader that sometimes you find yourself cheering for both sides .The storyline appeals to the young and the young at heart . I personally enjoyed reading this book thoroughly .Maybe for the reader looking for depth in what they read .This book may not draw them in due to the ease and humour in the book.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The book was a great read ,that left me yearning for more .Its full of adventure ,humour, relatable characters and suspense at every corner .It would appeal to any reader ,most especially someone looking something to ease the stresses of the day and loves cheering for the under dog.Definitely excited to see what else the author has to offer.

Some observations:
It looks like you have a space in front of your periods.
Some sentences run together with no space after the period.
There are places where you skip a word. Eg. "The story begins on day prior impending SAT." needs to have the word 'a' after 'on'.
I think your ideas are good. You give an overview of the book, but you might want to talk more about what you like and dislike.

I hope this helps.

I saw your complaint that you got a negative score, so just to let you know, you lost 30 points by having the book and author in bold. The book name should be in italics. The author should be normal text.
If you click on the score, it will take you to a page where the editor explains where you lost points.

The way how you have described this book leaves me on the edge. This is a fascinating story of demonic possession, betrayal, and heroism. Thank you for your very revealing review.

The cover and title immediately drew me to this review. I liked reading your review, but I don't think this book is for me. It seems a bit too scary for me with the blade enticing the boy to do evil things.
