The book was written for children. The book focused on explaining to a child what a storm is and why it happens. It was simple to understand. It answers the question what thunder and lightning are. It was short enough to keep a child engaged. The author shows a focus on caring, comforting and answering a child question during a storms. William is the main character in the story. The author tried to show William emotions and feelings. And what a child might question when feeling uncertain. The author added a father to the story to show how a parent should comfort and be compassionate to a child during a storm.
When William father saw that William was frightened, he sat with him and looked out the window to watch.
The father was comforting and reassuring to William. And teaching him to have positive outlook to seeing and hearing the storm.
My children enjoyed it. I would definitely reread it again. Especially during a storm.
