In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All is a guide for discovering your true self and realizing how interconnected we all are as human beings, regardless of our differences.

Eckhart Aurelius Hughes is a precise writer. The book did a great job of showing me how connected we all are once we peel back the layers of our exterior coverings. We are all just consciousness, and it is that consciousness that makes us what we are, not our skin color, job titles, race, wealth, beauty, height, or accomplishments. It's that singular consciousness that connects us all.

The book is rife with wise nuggets. One of the sayings I found profound is, “You immediately sacrifice your own inner peace when you lie to yourself.” That section of the book resonated with me, as all lasting change starts from within yourself.

Another view I found interesting is letting go of possessiveness. Living life with the belief that you own nothing is freeing. It frees you from constantly chasing things that can be stripped from you at any time. When you internalize the message, you realize that nothing defines you.

Overall, I love the book's message. It proposes a way of being and living that entails seeing oneself in other people and things rather than as a separate entity. I like the notion because if you recognize yourself in others, you are less likely to act in a way that would hurt them, as harming them is akin to hurting yourself.

In my opinion, the book is faultless, and the absence of errors made my reading experience all the more enjoyable. I have no recommendations for improvement. Hence, I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars.

In It Together is an invaluable guide if you are on the hunt for a book that will help you discover your true self and attain inner peace and contentment.
