The HEALing Revolution Diet by Dr. Randall Hansen, Ph.D., delves into food and how it affects physical and mental health. It explains some of the events in our history that have caused the Standard American Diet that we have today. In addition, the author shines light on some food issues within our society, such as food insecurities, chemicals in our food, and unethical farming and ranching practices. The HEALing Revolution Diet is a wealth of knowledge, making it not only a good read but also a great tool.

I found many positives in this book. It is very in-depth but so mindfully organized that it makes the reader hungry for more information. I also enjoyed the many tools included in this book, from the personal and peer testimonies to the timelines and source-backed information woven throughout the book. The author’s passion for this topic leaps off the page. The author’s approach was well thought out and presented in a way that made sense. I enjoyed reading this book and found it inspiring and motivating. All these things make for a good book in my opinion.

I only have one negative. The only issue I had was some minor editing errors. As mentioned previously, I enjoyed reading this book and think there are many positives. I don’t have any complaints about the execution of this book. My only criticism is the editing errors I found.

My rating for The HEALing Revolution Diet is 4 out of 5 stars. I found this book enjoyable to read. It was informative, motivating, and gave real-life stories. This book feels very carefully crafted. It’s easy to see the amount of love and research invested into this book. However, editing errors prevented me from giving a perfect 5 out of 5 rating.

I recommend this book to everyone. Whether you are already on a healthy journey looking for more ways to heal or you are new to learning about the food you eat. This book has a lot of information, but how it was thoughtfully done doesn’t make it overwhelming. This book is a household bookshelf staple, giving you the key ways to improve your health while always reminding the reader that your journey is unique, so do what is good for your body.
