[Following is a volunteer review of "Have Faith in God but Believe in the Devil" by Glenn R. Thompson.]
Review for “Have Faith in God but Believe in the Devil"
Author: Glen R. Thompson
“Have Faith in God but Believe in the Devil” is a book of short stories about events that occurred in the author’s life, which he attributes to his faith in God. Events show that, when you come right down to it, miracles can happen, and we do have angels watching over us. The absolute best thing is that to reach God, you must go through his son, Jesus Christ.
Each story is tied to something personal in his life, and the reasons he believes God is listening. Also, how to deal with the urge to do what the devil is trying to get him to do. I also think you should listen to your gut feeling and do the thing that your mind and heart are telling you is right. Don’t listen to the voice that is trying to get you to take a shortcut or ignore what you feel you should do. That may be the Devil trying to get you to come over to his side and do the wrong thing. I gained a lot from this book, including things I have known and practiced throughout my life, as well as new insights.
I gave “Have Faith in God but Believe in the Devil” a 5 out of 5 rating because I thoroughly believe that everyone should have faith and rely on Jesus Christ's help, both in good times and bad. He always knows what is best for you if you listen.
.
I found a couple of errors in the editing, but they did not detract from the book's message.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has faith, and even those who don’t may be surprised by what they learn if they give themselves the chance.
