Alex Fayman’s Superhighway, is the first book in the Superhighway trilogy. This story seems to have been derived from very secret articles of the former Union of Soviet and the CIA. We may have just imagined that teleportation exists or perhaps we may have believed that it does not exist at all but in this story, Alex Fayman makes it a reality.
This story rotates about the life and experiences of a young man named Alex Fine. Alex becomes an orphan at the early stages of his life and thus is raised by the caring hands of an orphanage director. Alex eventually develops into a very bright boy. As he is turning eighteen, the California-based orphanage receives some computers from donors. Alex develops very high affinity towards the computers and this makes him land onto some technical difficulties. Alex undergoes teleportation and he is in a good position to access and manipulate information contained in any device that is connected to the internet.
I was greatly shocked to learn that Alex is capable of stealing databases and interfering with the information that they contain. He can even access bank information from online accounts of gang squads and he can equally acquire information that is linked to military groups. One thing that I really liked with this young man is that he uses his newfound prowess to help and support the vulnerable people in the society. His philanthropic nature is indeed good and likable.
The author establishes a fluid plot that is characterized with several themes that touches on our today’s world. He has also developed characters that a good number of readers will definitely have to like and identify with. This book reflects on the prevailing situation in the world whereby governments of the day lack the capacity and the ability to deal with international problems such as widespread terrorism that is today taking the globe by a storm. Many regimes are also not able to thwart the increasing crime rates in their various jurisdictions.
I liked Alex’s nature of stealing from the “bad’’ people and using his “stolen’’ fortunes to promote the welfare of the less-fortunate segment of the society. Superhighway is such a perfect page-turner with bits of romance and action from the scratch to the end. The author eases our understanding of the book by vividly explaining all the facets of this book making it very simple to understand.
I would recommend this book to lovers of adventure. Lovers of action will equally find this book to be very much vital. I believe that this book is the best drink to quench the thirst of lovers of these genres. Readers who may be “allergic’’ to child abuse are advised to keep away from this book. It may spark of your “allergy’’. Since this book is error-free, I rate it 4 out of 4 stars.
