My son and I were looking for something that we could read together that would be enjoyable for the both of us. Boy, was I pleased with our decision. Together we started Serendipity Mystery, Diary of a Snoopy Cat. At first, I was concerned because it seemed to be in the middle of the series, but we were not disappointed. We have a Siberian cat who is always getting into mischief so this was right up our alley. I rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars and would recommend and look forward to the rest of the series.

The book starts off introducing us to Inca, a Siberian kitty detective and her crew of feline companions , along with a pup names Terrance and a hamster as well. Inca is excited to take holiday and add a new country to her list of places she has visited and see if there are any fascinating mysteries to solve along the way. Inca keeps you informed about her adventures and exciting things that are happening through her diary, a cute way to keep you interested in the book. When she arrives she makes new friends along the way who eventually help him solve the mystery.

The mystery is a case of a missing sword, with the help of her fellow companions, trusty turtle and baby elephant they are determined to figure out they mystery of the missing sword from the museum and return it to its rightful place.

This book kept me coming back for more. With every children's book I come across I feel as if I am bored easily, that wasn't the case when it came to Inca's story. Her adventure and the way the book was written made me feel like I was part of the mystery. I felt as if I was exploring the town with her, right by her side. The story was written eloquently , yet simple enough that my son could understand. Simple enough that toddlers could enjoy as well, and busy enough to keep the older kids interested as well.

My favorite part of all of this is how Kristi introduces us to all of the characters. It allows us to read it with ease as if we actually know Inca and her adventures. It shows great teamwork and imagination, this book was everything I was looking for and a bit more. I can not wait to check out the other books in the series to see where Inca, the mischievous adventure cat will take us next. :techie-studyingbrown:

This was a great book to share with my child while I was reading to review this book. And again the fact that this book was written in diary form does make it very unique and interesting to read.

Inca and her animal detective friends have really outdone themselves by solving the mystery of the missing sword in this wonderful children book. Thank you for a splendid review.
