Have you ever thought about being able to travel quickly to any desired destination? Superhighway by Alex Fayman is a cleverly written book to do just that in an imaginative way. Alex, the main character, is mysteriously able to travel through the Internet. Orphaned as a baby, he grew up in an L.A. orphanage with Ms. Jenkins, the head administrator being his only caring mom-figure. The teenager finds an attraction to computers and travels through the web tunnels to different States, as well as a few foreign countries.

Alex begins a new way of life as he finds out that he can access bank accounts and top-secret files. He rationalizes that it is not really stealing since he targets criminals’ accounts. He donates to many good causes and lives an extravagant lifestyle. He gets careless and involves himself with several young women, which lead to terrible consequences.

Read the book to find out how this brave traveler has the ability to travel through the Internet, to explore new places, and to make new friends. Find out just how deep he gets into different situations, discovering secrets, and becoming a target.

I do not like how Alex gets over-confident of stealing from criminals and thinks that there will not be any consequences. I least like the use of alcohol, pot, and sex as he handles his new life in negative ways. Though these things affected his thinking and right action, it does not merit a 3 out of 3 stars. It just reveals some reality and vulnerability in the story.

I really like the creative idea to travel through the Internet to different places, almost as easy as pointing and clicking to a location and away he goes! The book has suspense and mystery, compelling the reader to continue reading. I would like to read the next book to find out what happens next. The part of the book that I like the best is the ability to travel to any place very quickly and being able to have a fortune. The book is written well, with a lot of action and suspense, therefore I rate the book Superhighway 4 out of 4 stars.

Young adults and older, who like science fiction and have an interest in imagining what it would be like to have Alex’s abilities will surely like this book the most.

Because of the mature content, young children would least like this book. People who have no interest in fantasy and prefer non-fiction books would probably not like this book either.

Seems like an intriguing book, though Alex's character development seems to be lacking. Thanks for the great review.

The premise behind the book is intriguing. I would've liked to see the character of Alex more well rounded though. Thanks for the enlightening review.

I read the book when it was the BOTM and liked it. I am glad you enjoyed it too. I also didn't like Alex and his immoral acts, but I thought the premise of a digital Robin Hood is brilliant. I didn't give it full marks because of the slow start, the unlikable protagonist, and the cliffhanger ending. Thank you for the review!

I read and reviewed this book. I liked the traveling but strongly disliked how Alex treated women. Still, it was an interesting concept.

Great review. This sounds like a fascinating science fiction thriller. The ability to travel anywhere via the internet, access any information and manipulate it as well sounds not only amazing but very scary in the wrong hands. Alex sounds like young cyber Robin Hood who gets in over his head. The action, suspense, and mystery are definitely a bonus. Thanks so much for sharing.

The main character of Superhighway is Alex who can mysteriously travel through the internet and using this ability he targets the criminal's accounts. He is like an internet's Robinhood donates the stolen money in charity. In this age of information technology, this story seems to be a high tech story.

I totally understand your dislike of these attitudes. However, it probably helps keep the story realistic. A teenager with so much power would, probably, get out of control at some point. I hope the character developed into something much more interesting, though.
You made a very compelling review, even if I don't usually enjoy sci-fi. Thanks.

I like the idea of someone being able to travel through the internet and do stuffs that are not easy to do on a normal day. Being a fan of science fictions, I like the idea of one having power to do what others can't do. I look forward to reading the book even with the flaws of the main character, Alex. Thanks for the review.

Alex, the internet traveller--techno robinhood, is a portrayal of a modern hero. Not so perfect but his end actions against criminals did justice to the victims. The character is intriguingly unique. Nonetheless, the story is well rounded.

Great review. Traveling through the internet is a cool idea. I've always thought that transporting would be great, but this idea is even better. I'll check this book out. I like sci-fi stories, so this sounds like something that I would like.

A very techi story indeed! Everyone else dreams of travelling but for Alex, the main character, its a gift. The techno Robinhood character of Alex gave him the control of Justice. His ability to travel through the internet made him catch culprits and returning back the stolen money to the victims is a heRoic act. But, I dont like how he treats women as if they were inferior to him. Nonetheless, the writer must have thought to have a unique personality of the main character for a change. Congratulations to the author for such a story!

I read the book but didn't like some aspects of it. The drugs, alcohol, sex, prostitution, and murder made it difficult to get through the book. I think Alex change makes it difficult to relate to him. I did like how Alex can travel anywhere and the reader gets to read about different locations around the world.
