Serendipity Mystery by R.F. Kristi is an extraordinarily written book that can be thoroughly enjoyed by young readers, belonging to the age group of 7 to 10. However, this fun-filled mystery has a comical touch that other, older readers might appreciate too. The book has many enjoyable parts, some thrilling encounters and many colourful, artistic pictures which make the book more pleasant to read. Therefore, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.

I have given the book 4 full stars because the storyline is greatly interesting and has barely any flaws. The story has no grammatical errors and is presented in a neat and appealing manner. The book is a part of the Inca Book Series: Diary of a Snoopy Cat. The many adventures taking place in the book are extremely invigorating and set the readers on the edge, making them unable to wait for what’s going to happen next in the story.

Serendipity mystery is about a vacation in Sri Lanka, that Inca and her family took. Inca, the leader of her detective agency, Fromage, her little brother who adores cheese, Cara, her pretty Siamese sister who is the epitome of being “girly”, Charlotte, their cute hamster who is always by Fromage’s side, Missy, their mother, and last but not the least, Terrance, the dog belonging to Solo, a friend who is a detective, are all present there.

However, an interesting turn of events leads to Inca and her friends investigating a robbery of precious antiques from a museum: such as a prized sword and valuable gold coins. They are joined by Meena, a baby elephant, and Rani, a sea turtle, who help them in their “mission”. Solo, the detective, is well known for solving mysteries, and so, is called by the museum to help them find the valuables. Therefore, it is up to Inca, the snoopy cat, and her friends to find the valuables. There are many exciting plot-twists too, such as Fromage getting lost in a jungle and Inca having to save herself from the jaws of a humongous python.

Overall, considering the grammar and style of writing, I think this book has been professionally edited and the grammar, punctuation, and language suggest that they have been given major importance to. The book is short and the plot is clear and concise. It can be read as a light-read or even a bedtime story for young readers.
