Strong Heart is a beautiful and magic story written by Charlie Sheldon about Sarah, a thin and short girl but with a hot and strong spirit who is also an orphan.
Like most girls in this situation she is going through the life of a teenager without a loving soul to help her.
But her fate changes when her stepfather sends her to her grandmother for the summer but she does not like to be there and four days later she decides to go to her grandfather's house.
Grandfather Tom does not even know of her existence and he is surprised to know he has a granddaughter, but he is thrilled because she looks exactly like his daughter Becky when she was that age.
When Sarah arrives, Tom and two friends, William and Myra are ready to go on a long prepared trip to visit his grandfather's grave in the Olympical National Park, which is in Myra's words "a land of magic, history and legend. A place of myth, ancient stories, ancient people."
William and Myra convince Tom to take Sarah with them to the trip, where she disappears during eight days in which she saw vivid visions of ancient people. She even learned their language and how to use an artifact during that time.
This is a good book about the serious conflicts between modern humans both adults and teenagers, a book full of fantastic adventures and in addition it explains a lot about the origen and spread of humans. While reading the book the reader can live all the adventures and see all the landscapes together with the characters of the book.
I imagine all the work, the research, the exploring, and the years at sea that took place so we can read this book, and I thank the author for this beautiful and educational tale for young and adult people. The events that happened in the past will never come to us as clear as if it were today, but it is always beautiful to have a glimpse of that life, of those people that were our ancestors, and this is what the author gives us in this remarkable book.
I enjoyed to read this book through every page till its realistic end. It is my opinion that it is well written and I rate it 4 out of 4 stars, because I think it is a memorable and profound book with an excelent plot that fulfills all the purposes for wich it was written.
