[Following is a volunteer review of "The Witch of Endor: Vampires" by RK Wheeler.]

The Witch of Endor: Vampires by RK Wheeler tells the story of a young witch named Lilith, that is exquisite. When she is sought by the vampire, Lamech, who wants to learn magic from her, things become more romantic and less about magic. To make things everlasting, he turns Lilith so they never have to part. Will they be together forever or will they have opposition to their union?
There is an amalgamation of themes in this book. It blends Greek mythology and Biblical themes with fantasy, romance and lots of action. This also made for a unique take on vampire lore. It was welcome since I didn't care for the most recent vampire craze.
Lamech’s back-story is exceptionally explored so that people understand where he comes from and how he was turned into a vampire. It ties in with his biblical origins nicely. Lilith also has an extensive history. It built a lot of empathy and sympathy considering it made her appear unusual yet desirable.
By including verses from the King James version of the Bible, it helped me make the text-to-text connections with no in-depth understanding of the text. There was also the comprehensive knowledge of Greek mythology and other Gods and Goddesses that exist in other societies. The provided information helps with the context of the book and its upcoming sequels. It was necessary to include this erudition for readers to understand.
From just reading this text, It was easy to read since I only found a few errors. This is a good thing since The Witch of Endor: Vampires is a short piece of literature. It did what every starting book in a new series should, it established who the heroes are and who the antagonist is. The editing is superb for a new book series.
Readers that enjoy fantasy and mythology would find this enjoyable. However, if they don't like the Bible verses used and different takes on the stories within, then this isn't the book for them. They might also want to avoid this since there's a lot of killing and gore. That's to be expected, though, since this is a book that involves vampires.
By my considerations listed, I award The Witch of Endor: Vampires by RK Wheeler with 4 out of 4 stars. It is fantastic. I would be interested in reading the sequel. I'm also considering Mr. Wheeler's other work since I enjoyed the combination of magic and myth that was provided.
