This is volume 1 of The Tales of Conor Archer. I haven't decided yet if I want to continue on to volume 2. What are your opinions?

I don't think there is a second book yet...

If I love the book, I will certainly want to continue with the series.

I wasn't sure if one had come out yet, but I'm assuming there will be a second book.

I didn't see a second book either, I just assumed there would be one. ?

On the cover, it does say that this book is a first volume, but it looks like it's been a while since it's been published. Maybe the author is working on the second one now? In any case, I will most likely continue the series if a second one is made. :)

Most definitely! I really enjoyed this book, and I'm looking forward to seeing where the next book takes Conor on his journey.

I will probably not because this is not my go to genre for reading. I gave it a shot for something different. I really did like the ending. It's nothing personal towards the book or author. In fact, the author did a very good job besides dragging it out in some places. When it comes to reading series I am very picky because if I am going to read a series I want to me incredibly into it.

I become rather invested in the characters and world in which I immerse myself will reading stories such as this. If there are other books in a series, I will read them. Many people made comments about the length of this story. I didn't find it to be too long. Yes, it is a time investment, but the payoff is a rich, and layered reality that can carry the reader away from the norms of everyday life. I don't know about most of you, but to me that is one of the main reasons why I enjoy reading.

I agree and I usually don't mind lengthy books, I tend to gravitate to them; however, this one seemed to drag for me. I agree with gnome or hsimone, I can't remember which one said it, but there were so many details it took me away from the action and slowed the pace way down. Details are good and are a must in a great story, but it's easy to get bogged down; but some folks like a lot of detail, so to each his own.
