One aspect of the book that interested me the most was the use of Irish and Native American cultures. What do everyone else think of the way Barr uses them?

Besides those cultures, I really appreciated the way Barr strings in the jargon and language you would expect in a backwoods town like Tinker's Grove. I found it to draw me in and added color to the story, without being theatrical or distracting.
