The author did a really good job at including other myths in the book without having them overshadow the vampires. That was one of the best parts of the book, in my opinion.

Yes, there are many mythologies used in this book but I generally don't believe in any mythologies.

I love good mythology. It can be a lot of fun and make a story more interesting, but it comes with added risk of sounding cliche or needing to reach a certain height. There are a lot of options out there.
Yeah! Mythology is interesting but most of the stories contain cliche facts. But I still like it.

I love mythology. I think my culture's mythology will make for a pretty awesome fantasy novel, since we have different sorts of creatures that do not exist in Western myth.

The horse was the one that stands out the most, partially because it's introduced from early on and because of all the different specifications (in a sense, that come with it).

There were so may myth featured in this book and the author creatively write about. It was on of the things that made this book so facinating.

I like that many creatures were involved as well it would be stale if it was just vampires present.

There are many types of demons described, several demigods and demigoddesses mentioned. Also, the people living on the plains past East Gate seemed to be modeled after the North American indians and had Shamans if memory serves. There were also ghosts encountered near the end of the book.
This is a wrapped up package of complete goodness. A combination of different mythologies and it actually makes sense.
