You wake up as a vampire- do you panic or party?

If you woke up to find a drunken night and a one night stand has converted you into one of the undead, what would you do?
Erik takes it on the chin but I'm not sure it would be for me! I'd rather curl up in a corner and cry.
What about you? Would you want to run and hide or would it be the best thing that had ever happened to you?

First, waking up from a drunken night would never happen to me (I don't drink

), but if I'd been converted into one of the undead, then I would definitely panic and hide. I would be afraid to show my loved ones what I've become and afraid of what I'd do to them!

Definitely a lot more panic from me. I am surprised that Eric takes it so well. Also surprised he didn't have more of a crisis of conscious on his first kill. Doesn't matter how mean spirited the person you killed is, you still ended a life.

If I unexpectedly became a vampire, my first instinct would be to learn as much as I could about the situation, and what I had become. I wouldn't see the point in panicking (or partying) until I knew exactly what the score was.

Depends on what type of vampire I got turned into. There is more than one, after all. But for the one we're talking about, I think I'd have a moment of sheer, raw panic. Probably involving a lot of hiding in dark places and hoping nobody finds me. But, once I got over the initial shock and learned the ins and outs (and that I could still go out in the day), I'd probably be okay with it.

Given his specific situation, I think I'd be taking advantage of the eating everything and no weight gain situation. Also, never feeling full? I'd be in Vegas at the all you can eat buffet, or Texas in a hot dog eating competition!
In all seriousness, since I'm an active disbeliever in the supernatural, I think I'd be looking for an alternative explanation for a while at least.

Book nerd vampire, eh? Doesn't sound like you at all now does it?
As for me, is becoming a vampire superhero a viable option?

Sounds good to me

I like to take things in stride. If I woke up a vampire, I'd start looking at all the positives. There'd be plenty of new experiences and I could read a TON of books with my new, extra long life, for instance. I wouldn't party, per say, but I'd look on the bright side of the situation I was now stuck in.

This is a good point. I think after panicking (since I would base my knowledge of vampires on what I already know), I would probably do some research and take life day by day until I developed some type of routine.

Now that would make for an interesting story - a vampire superhero!

I don't drink either, but I would probably panic at first. After that, I would want to learn all about it.
Book nerd vampires are cool!

This wouldn't really apply to me, since I don't drink or do one-night-stands, but if I woke up as a vampire I would absolutely panic. My life would be the complete opposite as it is now and that in itself is terrifying.

The easier for them to sink their teeth into a good book.
