Reactions to the Author Interview

OnlineBookClub had a two-part interview with Mr. David J. Castello about his book. Did you watch it? What did you think of it? Was there anything that stuck out to you?

For me, I loved how Castello told his audience that the idea of The Diary of an Immortal (1945-1959) came to him in a dream. That really says something about his drive to write an entire story from something that came to him subconsciously.

I didn't actually watch this, or even know it existed. Is there a link?

Part two is the next video.

I too thought the dream-spiration incredible. I think adding an inset/split screen video of the author talking would have made the interview better.

I listened to the interview, and what I found most interesting is how the author went along with the story, he had the dreams, and as he says, "if you have a river, don't go against the river, go with the river". I can relate to this way of writing, because I have written a few short stories in a similar way, an image comes to my mind and the rest just happens in my mind, all I need to do is flow with it and write it down as well as I can.
In my opinion, this author is a good storyteller, for the story tkes the reader, in the same way it took him at the beginning.
