I would take my rosario, and a journal with a pencil in it. My mother gave me my rosario, and ever since I can remember not once did I take it off. I'd bring a journal and pencil because I'd want to record everything I saw. Whether it be how the nations fell, how people interacted with each other afterwards, or even simply reminiscing on before the apocalypse happened; I'd want to make sure that I wrote everything down. That way, when civilization somehow returns, I'd be able to share those stories with whomever was interested.

A painting with a F. Scott Fitzgerald quote on it that my best friend made for me “I fell in love with her courage, her sincerity, and her flaming self respect. And it’s these things I’d believe in, even if the whole world indulged in wild suspicions that she wasn’t all she should be. I love her and that’s the beginning and end of everything.” I believe it also has a Hemingway quote on it. Yes it has "the world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong at the broken places" on it I'm pretty sure (I have a few quote painting things but I'm fairly confident in that.

As well as that, maybe this is cheating I don't know, but I've put together a binder with as much stuff from shows I've been in or seen (theatre shows) as a sort of scrapbook of my theatre experience and I would like to have that with me but it is a bit heavy so I'd probably end up regretting that decision but oh well. :techie-studyingbrown:

My Bible and some type of photo keepsake like a picture frame or an album. Most likely an album so I would have multiple pictures.

I think mine would have to be a picture of my family and the necklace my partner made me. They're the two things that I think would give me strength in the hardest times

My very favourite self-written novel to motivate me, and my picture album. Family has to be there always.

My boyfriend and I write letters to each other at least once a week. I keep then all in a small stashbox. I would take with me my stash box and a notebook to write more letters. It has become a type of therapy for me and I believe it would be useful in this situation.

When I came to varsity last year, I found that just having a picture of my father carrying me at the park as a toddler was I needed to comfort me from my homesickness. Hence, I agree with most of the comments here. Family pictures are vital. I'd also bring my bible for my spiritual health.

It's so tough to choose just two. I would probably take a picture of my children and my art supplies to paint. It would be hard to leave everything behind that you always knew and start over.

I would have to pick a picture of my family, of course. That seems to be a common theme on this thread. And I would also take a pocket watch that belonged to my great grandfather, whom I've never met. Seems a little silly, but the watch had a lot of meaning to him and to my family, since they passed it down all the way to me. It would be a reminder of where I come from. Love this question! Really made me think.

Probably a few photos of my family (hubby, parents, brother), and then one of the handcrafted bracelets I did, would wear it on my wrist forever.

I would take a picture of my family and my personal diary since these are the two things that are very close to my heart.

I'd take my cellphone and the charger. Just kidding! Where would I plug it. I'd take a photo album if I owned one. I guess my first medal and a flashlight would have to do.
