There some hints in the later chapters of Abigail and Haatim beginning to "notice" each other, so I think it likely that in later books they will develop a romance. I wouldn't be opposed to it and in fact I like that it didn't happen right away. While I enjoy romance in books, sometimes I think there is too much focus on them and the whole 'love at first sight' effect. A slow love that sneaks up on you like a Cupid Ninja can be even sweeter.

I did expect a romance, but I wasn't disappointed that there wasn't one. Maybe that relationship had to build before a romance could start. I haven't read the other books in the series so it may happen later.

romance or not I think it was an interesting plot but I cant say I didn't see Abigail falling in love with Haatim once or twice.

I have never come across an action thriller book in which there is no hint of romance between the protagonists. At least Robert Langdon always develops feelings for his female counterpart. And it did strike me when i noticed that there was no spark of romance between Haatim and Abigail. But i enjoyed it nonetheless.

I don't mind romance in action books as long as it isn't unnecessary or forced merely because it's the norm, which is why I'm actually glad that it deviated from that, and that there is no romantic relationship between the protagonists. Even if it does develop in the next books in the series I don't I would mind as it would be more justified as then it would not be forced and they would have know each other for a longer time and would also classify as character development.

The fact that there was no hint of romance in the book was one of my favourite things about it. I find it gave more space to Abigail and Haatim's psychological and emotional struggles as well as keeping me focused on the story itself.

The lack of romance in the book is good for me as it is a fast-paced novel, moreover, if there will be romance introduced in the plot, it will lose out on it's unique aspect of the plot line.

Raven's Peak didn't need romance to make it work nor were Abigail and Hashim compatible. They both needed their space to grow psychologically. Romance between those two unlikely pair would not have been believable. It was perfect as written.

One of my favorite things about this novel was that there was no romantic aspect whatsoever. If the next books in the series develop one, I will be really disappointed. In my opinion, a romance adds nothing to a novel.

A little bit of romance would never hurt especially with this kind of delivery.
