Most of such books have a massage or lesson to transmit to children and which sometimes plays a role in building up their personalities.
it gives them the knowledge of how to live in the society or with others... like for example this one teaches on accepting and respecting our differences which is a sensitive point to be considered in our daily life with others...

Hi,

I think such books are really useful. Case in point would be my own 3year old daughter. My wife and I taught her a lot of concepts like sharing toys with her friends, washing her hands after going to the loo, putting her toys back in their place etc with help from simple story books like these. Depends on how well the books reach the kids minds I feel.

Books are definitely useful to children. I read to my 2 girls since they were babies and now that they're teenagers they love to read which I think is really good.

Regardless of whether such books affect kids at that age, I think it will ultimately be a part of their upbringing and form a part of their belief system as an adult.

I think all good children's books should have useful messages; how to be accepting, correct behaviors, doing the right thing, etc.

I think they are helpful to children. The best kinds are the ones that are helpful to children and adults alike. I used to read to a children's group age 5, and I loved when there was something I could get out of the books as well. It doesn't always have to be a direct lesson. It can be entertainment that leads you to being in a better mood.

I think books with message like these are useful. They build tolerance in children but helping them to see that differences aren't to be ridiculed or berated, understood and embraced. Any children's book with a powerful message is useful. It makes them emotionally adept and aware.

I think any book with a positive message is useful to children. Books should be entertaining but they should also be something that a child can learn or take something from.

I believe it does make a difference. I remember I learned a lot as a kid from such stories and it made a difference in my life experience compared to my peers at a young age. Eventually, people catch up, but advancing fast at a young age definitely, has its perks with stuff like building self esteem etc.

One of the great things about children's books is that they're so varied, so there's always something to meet different children's interests. I'm a librarian, and I've seen and read hundreds of books that I just can't stand (for any number of reasons), but for almost every book I haven't liked, I've found someone else out there who does like it! Books don't have to be preachy or educational to teach a lesson.
