Sometimes reading is difficult to follow. It would be great if it’s excellently written. As for me, I would prefer watching it.

Even though I'm not a sci-fi fan, I think I still prefer reading it. Reading it lets you get more details, and I've found I've enjoyed things like Reading Ender's Game more than, say, watching Star Wars. I guess the removedness of space and such is easier to deal with in print.
Hi all. I like board games, card games, video games, books (especially children's books and mysteries), stories, cartoons, anime, manga, light novels, animation, and other light-hearted, fun things. Feel free to message if you want to chat!

Well to be honest I like reading more than watching a sci-fi. Though movies are great to watch with all the graphics and special effects. But I love to run my imagination while reading.

It's always well-written books over movies for me although I still enjoy watching Sci-Fi films when I'm too stressed and just like to stop thinking. I'm not sure if Armageddon is considered a Sci-Fi, but I enjoyed the movie so much.

I think it depends on who wrote the Sci-Fi books and who produced the Sci-Fi movie or series.
There are some Sci-Fi short stories that are excellent just based on the storyline.

I think that would be interesting. I prefer reading such genre because it is very interesting. It also shows different things which is unreal.

Definitely reading. I actually find watching sci-fi more confusing because we can't get into the mind of the characters, and it's harder to keep up with.

I like both. :) Reading sci-fi needs a lot of imagination not only on the part of the author but on the readers as well. As for watching it, it sure is quite interesting how movie makers do the special effects etc. to make it realistic.

I can not choose between the two. I love both, watching because I can see what others think it should be and love to be entertained. Reading for then I can exercise my own imagination and create my own reality.

I very much prefer to watch sci fi. They do such a better job of portraying events and what not than my own imagination. Now, after I have seen a movie I may go back and read the book.

I like both! I think it depends on the story line, and how well it is portrayed.

I love reading and I prefer reading a sci-fi is much more better than watching the movie because it brings more of your concentration and imagination almost to reality and it also builds up your ability to concentrate and memorise what you read.
