If You Created a Charity, What is it and Who Does it Help?

Post by Amagine »

In the book, Alexander Fine creates different charities and donates his money to many people who are less unfortunate than him. I

If you created your own charity, what would your charity be about? Who would benefit from it?

As for me, my passion lies in creating a love for reading within all children. I would want to create a charity that promotes giving books and creating personal libraries for children who are in the foster care system or who are simply less fortunate. I want volunteers from my charity to go out and promote reading aloud by visiting homes and reading aloud to the children. I would also want a literacy-rich recreational center that they can go to that's free for them. I don't have a name for my charity yet.

This is a hard one. Mainly because I have a very soft spot for children. I would love to help make a difference in their lives. Saying that I will also love to help victims of abuse, whether it be physical or emotional.

Between terrorism, wars, environmental damage and the recent resurfacing of tension over nuclear weapons, humanity is in a very precarious place. I believe it stems largely from our inability to empathize with anyone outside of our immediate group, anyone that we view as a dangerous "other." I would develop a charity that trains both young people and adults in the concept that "we are all in this together" and that what we do to others we do to ourselves.

I'd want to create two I think. The first one would be for medical research for fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. I don't think enough is known about those diseases, what causes them, and how to fix them. The second would be for homeless. Not just to feed and house them, but something to help them get back on their feet again. A halfway house or something of the sort.

I'd like to create a charity that helped the homeless and another that genuinely helps the mentally disabled. I have seen both types suffer so much and I really would love to be able to help them.

I will create the same charity which raised Alex Fine, because if we do not embrace these abandoned children, they will become rhe malady of the society in the future.

Because I was sick as a teenager, I feel like I would want to create a charity that gives to hospitals. I would want to help children and adults struggling with diseases. Not only would I want to help develop cures I would also want to help them learn more about eating healthier, and maybe even encourage them to find out if there are any allergies they are struggling with and are unaware of it. That is what helped me, and finding out what I have been allergic to all of these years and changing my diet because of that has helped me tremendously.

I am also interested in creating or establishing a charity foundation which is dedicated to helping the indigenous people all around the world which would focus on helping them preserve their culture.

I would create a charity to help animals - it's hard to pinpoint which groups of animals to help, but in an ideal world, I'd want to help as many as I possibly can.

I like this. It is about loving the unloved. Providing home for those mentally disabled because these people sometimes are neglected by their own families.

I would start a charity that helped adults with autism that have finished college. They are a very neglected group when it comes to supporting them in the workforce. There are many programs if you are not intellectually able to go to college but next to nothing if you are, at least once you are finished. They need help with interview skills and job coaching in the long term professional job sector.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.

Most people nowadays have their own disability which enables them having the hardships of supporting their selves. If I were going to create a charity, that charity for sure is for persons with disabilities and for other needy.

I think I would like to set up a charity in my name to help anybody who is willing to work for what they really want. Like giving out scholarships to promising students.
