I think this is a great discussion question! Especially in today's society where technology is so heavily used and influential.

If it is the case that you're going to be tied to your devices to the exclusion of all else, you're definitely the servant. If you use technology to make your life more manageable so you have time to do other things, technology takes the place of the servant. Also, if you can't see yourself enjoying even a single day without technology, it means you're too dependent on it, though not necessarily a servant.

We've definitely grown to be super dependent on technology to the point that without it, entire economic systems would crash. We haven't yet reached the extreme we're I'd say we're the servants of technology, but we're definitely reaching an almost addicted stage with it.

This cannot be generalized. Many people have destroyed their lives with technology, and many have designed amazing lives using it. It all depends on the person using it. Many get addicted to social media, video games, and web series, while others construct online business empires using it. So, technology is both a servant and a master.
