does anybody here think that superhighway 2 will not bring closure to the storyline? could the author be considering employing suspense to validate writing a third series?

Well , suspense is a creative writing approach to keep the readers/consumers expectant of what next and in the long run spark creative thinking among the audience . I think its not about the second book but rather sparking creative speculations.

I guess it's his prerogative to do with series whatever he sees fit. I'm usually all for trilogies and longer series if the story keeps evolving and there is still something to discover as reader.

I haven't read the second book of the trilogy although I am very curious to see how Fayman makes his character evolve. I would recommend the first book of the trilogy to young adult readers, but what happens to the second and the third?

I believe this book was originally planned as a trilogy. I haven't read book two yet to know if this changed. I don't see anything online about a third book being published.

If Fayman planned it as a trilogy I think he will wrap up everything nicely, giving a good conclusion to Alex's adventures and answering all of the readers unanswered questions like is Alex's father really dead?

Even though the first book was left on a cliffhanger, I was satisfied with where it ended and I look forward to a second novel.

Can't exactly foreshadow what's going to happen in the second novel, though I do believe Superhighway was written with the idea of a trilogy in mind. Isn't suspense a good thing in writing though? If Fayman doesn't needlessly draw it out and continue to create conflicts that blend with the original storyline then I don't see why not.

This is one of the things I considered when the book wrapped up. I found the ending a little too abrupt and like the climax of the story was the final scenes in the story.
