Half of the women in the world are working women, the other half are working men.

Opening line from a 1928 movie, Three Broadway Girls. I may have put this on here before, but I didnt see it.

I like the "drive carefully" quote that Fran posted.

@asmaahsan ... another drive one for you

"He was right, he was right
As he sped along
But he's just as dead
As if he'd been wrong"

Safe driving :)

A world is born again that never dies.

Hey Fran, a quote to answer yours:

Bighuey did a movie quote, so I figured it was fair game:

"I don't want to have to do this living. I just walk around. I want to be swept off my feet, you know? I want my children to have magical powers. I am prepared for amazing things to happen. I can handle it."
Richard in "Me and You and Everyone We Know" by Miranda July

It's my favorite film.

As long as its a quote, it dosent matter where it came from. :)

My mother used to say if I wanted some extravagant thing, as soon as cows jump over the moon.

My dad had some very colorful sayings, but they are too colorful to put here.

Thankyou for sparing us the details. :)

Two quotes from Ethel watts Mumford. (I am adding my colorful contribution here)

"God gave us our relatives; thank God we can choose our friends."

"Knowledge is power, if you know it about the right person."
