The rose is offered and at the same time he has a rose tree, that's when he turns to care of the rose tree,so the rose tree also saw the rose being offered is that why she turned her back? Remember rose tree can produce many roses....,

I was able to gather from your passage that even the things we delight in can be harmful to us. That resonated deep with me.

" his rose tree was jealous and thereafter produced a delightful thorns"
I think the narrative is that " he was turned down by whom he loved, he had pains because he was turned down but it was more of a freedom for him to return to the rose himself turned down for the so called tree"

How sad ... That's all the thanks he gets for staying faithful to his chosen one . Even after being chosen , she could not help but feel jealous that the lesser flower seemed to tempt him.

This beautiful poem revolves around a man who is deeply jealous of his pretty rose tree. This jealousy symbolizes possessiveness and the desire to control someone or something beautiful. The man's jealousy ultimately leads to tragic consequences. Duhh!

The poem explores the idea that jealousy can arise even in the context of love. This is a deep concept highlighting the conflicting emotions that can exist within a relationship.

The pretty rose tree appears beautiful and desirable on the surface, but it becomes a source of conflict and pain for the man. This theme reflects Blake's interest in exploring the contrast between outward appearances and inner realities.

I'm keen to read this book. The way the narrative develops is something I'm curious about.
