Totally! And they could use songs from The Jackson 5.kandscreeley wrote:There are so many good suggestions here already. I love the suggestions of Prince, Elvis and the Beatles. I think I would add Michael Jackson to that list.
What other musical artists?

What is grief, if not love persevering?
Grief is just love with no place to go.

I also love some of Michael Jackson's songs. I want them to be used in a novel or any kind of storytelling. I like his song "Heal the World" to be used in advocacy books or advocacy movies.kandscreeley wrote:There are so many good suggestions here already. Some of Michael Jackson's songs can be used to send an advocacy video like taking care of the children, respecting women's rights, realizing the dream of the children, and many more.kandscreeley wrote:There are so many good suggestions here already. Are you referring to HIM, the band with Ville Valo as the singer? Because if so I think there music could work with something like this too.Gravy wrote:I must say Him, simply because I can see how each song could be used. Sadly, not as many people would get it, as with someone like Adele, but their fans are cultish in their fandom.
Also, good shout to people suggesting Michael Jackson, that would be very good, the book could be about a lot of different things!

I agree that Ed Sheeran would be a great choice. He is one of the greatest lyricists of this generation of musicians imho. Sam Smith would be a great choice as well. I just wish he'd release another album; his first one was amazing.Gravy wrote:Me neither. Some artists just defy generational boundaries.
Ed Sheeran would be an interesting one. So would Mumford and Sons.
Nick Drake would be awesome.
