The book has three protagonists from three different cultures: Elias, Jordan, and Nadia. Which one was your favorite? Mine was Nadia. She was courageous, independent, and fiercely fought for her rights in a patriarchal society, not an easy task.

I liked Nadias character more. She fought for her rights and dignity with utmost courage and determination.

Yup, I totally agree, Nadia all the way. She became strong, bold, and independent for the sake of her son. She was determined to make her son happy.

At first, I liked Yaser the best, but he soon became annoying with his endless complaining. After that Nadia became my favorite. Her story had real tension and drama to it.

I liked Nadia the most, but Elias the least. In my opinion Nadia had the most likeable character and stronger story. Yaser's story was good but his character became a bit of a downer for me. Elisa's story was too unrealistic and unrelatable for me.

I agree. I thought the same about Elisa's story.

I find it interesting that so many people are thinking the same about the characters. I'm also of the same frame of mind. I liked how Nadia was so determined and strong in a society that was so male dominated.

I would also name Nadia as my favorite for the reasons that are already given by others. Honestly, there were lots of things about her character and story that I didn't care for. Of the three main characters, however, she's the one who I liked more.

I also didn't like some things about her, but among the three characters she was the most relatable.

I'm 20% into the book and so far I don't really like any of the characters. I'm finding Nadia so negative, the married couple immature and the guy from Rome has such an unrealistic story so far. Hopefully my view will change soon.

I also like Nadia. I am empressed by her love to her son. She represents many single mothers- striving to make their child whole even in the absence of their husband.

Probably Nadia. She chose single motherhood in a culture where divorce is lesson common and less acceptable, even if it's due to abuse.
