Did you watch the trailer made for "My Trip to Adele? It started with the sound of tossing water into the sea while the narrator said that it is the kind of music that touches the soul. The trailer encouraged me to read the book. We always have movie trailers but not so much on book trailers. What do you think about books with trailers?

I did and found it lacking. Trailers are nice, but they don't affect my decision to read the book.

I think a book trailer is an interesting concept. It's a great way to advertise the book. Unfortunately, the trailer for My Trip to Adele didn't interest me much.

I liked the idea of book trailer. I would like to see more in the future. In this case the trailer wasn't the best but if it made people read the book, I think it reached its goal.

I saw the trailer after reading the book. The trailer felt like it was missing something. I'm not sure I would have wanted to read the book if I had seen the trailer first.

I viewed the trailer on yt. I liked it. It's well-done and it provides a good tease of the plot. That said, I'm not used to watching book trailers so I'm typically not influenced by them.

The purpose of a trailer is not to give everything. Its purpose is to make people hanging. The trailer introduced the three main characters with a touch of drama using the power of the sea and wind.

I think the summary written at the back of the book affects my decision to read the book more than the trailer. I felt the trailer could not really convey the essence of the book.

I enjoyed the hanging trailer but not everybody was impressed with it. I hope the authors will do it better next time.

I agree it failed to convey the essence of the book. If it wasn't the BOTM, I wouldn't have read it based on the trailer.

We are not used to. Besides, most of the time, we already have the synopsis or summary at the back page of the book.

I have seen quite a few trailers and they were good.

I wholeheartedly agree. This book trailer did not pique my interest and, like you said gali, if this book wasn't BOTM, then I would not have picked it up.
