Awareness, courage and perseverance if I may add. Because after all, one still needs to stand by whatever decision one takesDonnavila Marie01 wrote:Courage is also needed because even if the woman is aware of her rights as a woman, she cannot fight for her rights if she does not have the courage to stand and say enough.

This is a great topic. I felt that she challenged me to be a better mother. I am getting ready to have my first child and with so many things happening in our world today I am terrified. She has inspired me that no matter what, love will always bring things together even if you occasionally sacrifice things. I also felt that she encouraged me to really take control of my life and not let it be ruled by others including work. She was my favorite character.Ayosinmi wrote:The character of Nadia depicts what I see around me every day. Women fighting to survive abuse and their abusers.
Women are subdued everywhere, home and at work. Most especially in developing countries.
In what ways did the Nadia challenge you as a person?

And her resolve to take charge of her life is inspiring too. She didn't come across as fearless but she was brave, she wouldn't allow anyone or situation to subdue her.
She's my favorite character too.
Let me know when your baby arrives. I will keep you in my prayers. Cheers dear
