What is it about music?

Post by Heidi M Simone »

Adele's music was a big influence in this read. Clearly, the authors are touched by her songs.

That connection to music can be easily applicable to anyone. There are so many forms of music that it is easy to find some meaningful connection to what we hear. What is it about music, in general, that touches so many of us?

Music is just amazing. It soothes when one is low, it helps you celebrate good times. Above all its a powerful tool of worship!

For me, first, it's about the melody. Next, the lyrics! It's especially amazing when both of them synchronize or complement each other well!

I go for the actual tune, the voice, and the lyrics. The best are songs that put you in a good mood or take you back to a certain time. How music does this, I don't know!

Balm to the soul, a gate to different universes, an untouchable pleasure.
Something that opens up our mind's amazing abilities.
Doesn't matter if you listen to it, or playing it, it's a cure. I loved singing in a choir the most for example. When you all breathe in tandem to create harmonies out of thin air... :romance-grouphug: :romance-heartstiny:
It's, well. Every feeling we humans have ever had.

I'm not sure there's a single answer.
For me it's something deep inside. It helps me to keep my spark alight, feeds the soul, and does so in a way nothing else can.

Sounds interesting

It gives life to the soul.

I think music can be something that I can always relate to at times when I don't really want to relate to people that will have an opinion on whatever it is that I am going through whether positive or negative to share or try to use to take my mind away. Sometimes I just want to go through whatever emotion I am in and I find that difficult to do at times with someone else offering their opinion. It is a way to express and listen to myself while still having a voice along for the ride that can elaborate on my feelings. I feel it will always be my escape.

I think music is so so magical. I listen to music to soothe me when I'm upset or sad or angry and I just find myself calming down. I also like to listen to certain types of music when I'm studying because it keeps me awake and motivates me. Depending on certain singers and bands, the lyrics can also be so powerful and also have a great impact on me.

It is a way to express and pass a point to the next person, listening to music makes my heart at peace with the world, and makes myself be known to the message i want to pass about my feelings. I feel it will always be my escape

For me, as for a lot of people, music touches our emotions. When I hear a song, it always evokes the emotions of what I was feeling when the song was popular, or when I first heard the song. Takes me right back to that time in my life.
