To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

Definitely. I am not an Adele fan, but I loved this book. I didn't think the book really had much to do with Adele at all to be honest.OMOFAYE Victor wrote: ↑18 Sep 2017, 19:17 While I do agree that Adele is a great singer, I am not really her fan, so I barely listen to her songs. For a book like 'My Trip to Adele', I almost got bored and tired of reading it since it appeared like it was celebrating the great singer of whom I am a non-fan. I could not feel the thrill it was intended to have on fans of Adele. What do you think, do you think a non-fan of Adele would find the book as interesting as an Adele fan? Can a non-fan of Adele enjoy the full beauty of this piece of literature, 'My Trip to Adele'?

I agree; the quotes didn't add or detract in my opinion. In fact, I didn't find the Adele connection to be relevant at all. I loved the book, but didn't pay much attention to the Adele aspect.winecellarlibrary wrote: ↑11 Dec 2019, 17:49 I think there was a deeper message in this book that was the main focus, even though Adele is mentioned in the title. You could replace Adele with any musical artist and still have people from all over the world who can identify with the characters in the book and their travels to see Adele. I don't think the musical artist chosen detracts from the story at all unless you really, truly cannot stand Adele's music.
