Yeah. I agree. No one wants to talk about his traumatic loss. If we remember these great losses in our lives, it makes us sad but at the end of the day, we must still be reminded that there is always a rainbow after the rain.

A difficult question! I lost my father six years ago and that leaves only memories of childhood activities and later happy experiences. We also lost an unborn child which implies the loss of all the hope and future we hoped to have. Both were painful.

My greatest loss will be my dad. If he'd still be alive, everything would have been so different.
Most times, I fall flat on my face. But never do I remain on the floor; I rise again.

I have experienced a lot of loss in my life so I'm going to narrow it down to three. I can't pick one over the other. First was my dad, he survived a stroke that left him unable to communicate properly only to find out he had cancer. He came to live with me after the stroke and three months later I held him as he died on my couch. Next was my stepdad, he suffered from a brain bleed that needed a surgery that they said was pretty routine and he should be fine. He never woke up so they did another surgery and accidentally cut his brain stem. My mom had to make the decision to pull the plug a few days later since he was brain dead. The last would be my grandma. She survived a surgery for a bowel obstruction but had a heart attack the next day. I sat in the hospital floor watching them try to bring her back, then found myself begging my mom to make them stop. She was ready to die and they were hurting her. Like a said, these are only some but they are definitely probably the greatest ones.

Death brings such great sorrow for the bereaved but such sweet rest for those who go. This I believe. This brings me comfort. Someday, we will be with our dear departed again and there will be tears no more.

That is the only belief that keeps me going. While I love my life here and now, I can't wait to see them in a better place with no more pain. Some people just say that because it soothes the living that were left behind, but I truly believe I will see them again in heaven when it's my time.

I haven't had any "great" losses and I'd like to keep it that way. I took Chester Bennington's death really hard though. I'm an avid Linkin Park fan.

I have not had a great loss where I would lose a person. I have had a great loss where bad things have happened to me and I have lost my innocence on the way.
