But I also like keeping up with what's new in my favorite genres. When I read older books, I'm usually reading by myself. When I read newer books, it's more like reading in a group, since there's usually someone else nearby who's reading it at the same time.

Many of the more recent ones are also masterpieces in themselves so I think one should have a fair share of both.
