Yes! That's one of the main reasons I read. Reading about others makes you empathise and imagine, which are great things to do!
"Every reader is, while he is reading, the reader of his own self. The writer's work is merely a kind of optical instrument which he offers to the reader to enable him to discern what...he would perhaps never have perceived in himself."

reading a story about another person experience simply put non fiction books gives a first hand clue what one goes through in different situation and on the other hand enable with the right attitude on how to handle such situation . I love reading such kind of books as they give what real is going on without biasness and putting in fantasy to make it appealing to the reader

For me it depends a lot about the subject of the book. I really enjoy reading those books about people´s experience travelling or being in an extreme situation. I like those writers with an easy to read style of writing and photos are always great.

I agree. Photos of the author's experiences does make the book more exciting.

Yes, people's experiences are lessons for life, because our personal stories are the keys that help unlock other people's prisons. For example if you go through a traumatic experience and share your story you help others who are going through the same to learn to have faith, to learn how to overcome or grow through the experience. We were afflicted so that we can help deliver other people from what we escaped

I don't wait to experience things in my life before I learn some lessons. I always observe other people's lives and mistakes and pick my lessons. I'd rather not experience such at all. So yes, I do love reading books that'll teach me lessons from other people's experiences.
Most times, I fall flat on my face. But never do I remain on the floor; I rise again.

I definitely agree that there are many lessons to be learned from someone else's story.

Yeah! Especially if its about someone I like or someone with an interesting life but basically it all boils down to how good the author is.

I agree that a book is only as good as its author.

Yes. It depends on the person who writes it and on what the experience is about. But that's the only way we get to know, really know, what happens on the other side of the world. That's the only way we get to see behind the veil of wars, of hunger, of poverty.
