The sea fascinates me : the colors, the waves, the smell, the gulls ... I would like, as Jules Verne in his book, to travel around the world with a boat.

I'm afraid of dying in deep water, but if the sea is calm, I have no problem being out on a boat or ferry. I will never again take the ferry from Holyhead to Ireland or the cross the English channel.

Not afraid per se. I love the sound of the water, and going out on boats. But when I stay too long, I start to panic about the possibilities that might happen at sea. Depends on the situation though.

Yeah am afraid of the sea because of the depth .I screamed when I went boat riding one day.I prefer to hide myself inside aship when travelling through so that I can't see the waters because at the thought of the depth I will automatically cry out aloud..I prefer watching from a distance

I am not afraid of going out to sea, as long as I can see the shore.

I am afraid of being far out at sea, especially for a lengthy time. I am afraid that the transport I am using will sink and I will drown.

Not at all as long as the sea won't misbehave as I travel in it. It's actually amazing to watch it's beauty.

I'm not afraid of it as a body of water, but some of the creatures that we've found in the deep and the volcanic trenches are scary-looking, even if they cannot do us any harm. I'm also afraid of being stranded at sea, more so because of all water surrounding me, I wouldn't be able to drink once I ran out of fresh water.

It definitely depends on what I am doing in/on the sea. I went snorkeling once, but I was anxious the WHOLE time because I worried that something larger than me would come up beneath me and bite my legs off. Riding in a boat is alright though. I just feel scared of sharks and claustrophobic about being under water. We are intruders in the sea in a way. It doesn't belong to humans, I don't think.

I love the sea/ocean from the shore. I wouldn't be comfortable out in the waters unless I was in a ship.

The sea has a beautiful site and scenery but to tell the truth I am afraid of it. If i had one day to travel by sea, I bet I would be restless for like a week before my journey and will keep my eyes closed while in the sea, maybe to ease the tension.

One of my earliest memories was looking down the side of a boat at the roiling sea beneath. I was terrified. But it didn't really carry forward--vacation at the beach every year and love it.
