wow, I like your idea as mother if only had extra hands. Oh, I miss my mama.Daniellscott1 wrote:I don't know if you meant real or mythical so I'll post both. The dolphin is my favorite real sea creature; although there is something to be said for the octopus. I'm a mom so sometimes I wish I had the extra hands. I am torn between the siren and the mermaid as my favorite mythical creature.

I wonder that, too. It is so amazing, why the Salmon wanted to go back. The lesson I learned on that is I must not forget to where I came from even if how far my feet goes. Thanks for the ideaBasya wrote:When asked, I often say that I don't have only one favorite book. The same can be said for sea creatures. Sea turtles are definitely at the top of the list. I am heartened when we visit an area where they nest and discover that efforts are being made to monitor and protect these sites and their precious eggs. Another sea creature of note is the salmon. After hatching in streams, the young fish make the long journey to the ocean where they live most of their lives. Remarkably, the older salmon swim upstream--running the gamut of hungry bears and waterfalls--to return to shallow streams where they spawn and lay eggs, and the amazing cycle begins again.
