Most recently I've read a book called Book Blueprint that describes the whole process of writing a book. It was so inspirational that I wanted to go out and write a book as soon as I finished it! The book tells you how to go about developing your book idea, if it is a good book idea at the time, and how to begin and end writing the book.

Now, if we're talking movies, hands down the most inspirational movie I've ever seen is Pursuit of Happiness. There's no comparison to anything else. Although I do think The Help is a wonderful movie as well.

How many great books are mentioned here! The book that started to chang my life, my way of thinking and improved all the aspects of my existence is The power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. I recommend it to everyone who is going through difficulties. It will help you a lot.

The most inspiring book I have read is The Diary of Anne Frank. I read it when I was in middle school, of my own volition. It really resonated with me how she found happiness and love in such a hateful period. Makes me realize that I really need to be more grateful and spread love and positivity.

I've seen that book many times as a book to review. I didn't know it was that influential though. I'll have to add it to my reading list if I haven't already.

I think I have two that I find most inspiring at the moment, one non-fiction and one fiction. The first is Very Good Lives by J.K. Rowling. The other is The Beauty of the Fall by Rich Marcello. They both teach about people about using rock bottom for a solid foundation; the latter has many tense moments but, like Bluewater Walkabout, it's also very heartwarming.

The more that you learn,
The more places you'll go.

The Odyssey by Homer; I read it as a little kid, and it gave me a lot of insight as to how to leverage your intelligence and resourcefulness against forces that are bigger and stronger than you and don't always play fair. That, and Revelations, from the New Testament.

I thoroughly enjoyed How Not to Die by Michael Greger. It inspired me to change my eating habits and in turn be physically healthier and feel more in tune with my body.

"The Courage Tree" by Diane Chamberlain. It was a story about a mother and her sick child that gone missing. It touched my heart how the child was so willfully strong and independent, still hoping that her mother will find her. It just, brought me to tears.

Fictions Mistress wrote:There are a lot...but The Perks of Being a Wallflower was quite inspirational for me. I relate a lot to the main character, Charlie. It's an indescribable feeling, when you find a character that so deeply resonates with you. He struggles, but he learns how to triumph, and by association you feel that you do too.
I loved that book, as well.

Without doubt it is the bible. What makes it my most inspiring book is because my faith is built on it, what you believing inspires you.

Eek! What a wonderful but difficult question to answer.
I'd say the book that always stays with me is I Know This Much is True by Wally Lamb. It inspires you to be a better person, to examine what is going on inside yourself and be the best you can be.
