My, that's incredibly close! I'm glad you survived that and understand your fear. I haven't been bitten but I fear animals, too.

In Kenya we have a lot of wildlife parks. We take a lot of trips to visit each of them and admire their beauty. It's so wonderful.

A python when I was a child. I don't remember why did I go near to the forest. I saw it about 10 feets away. It was in the high grass. But it saw me and slithered away.

I have never got to experience wildlife. But I went to the zoo once. The animals were much bigger than I expected.

The closest I have been with a wild animal is when our school had a trip at a wildlife zoo. I saw pythons and lions up close but I couldn't touch them :D . There were many different animals but out of all I liked the meerkats.

We had gone into the bush for prayers where I met this big snake and it stood straight up to my height and guess what? It was a cobra stand on a big rock I was standing on. Both of us, the cobra and myself had no escape route except whoever starts the game causes the other to react but thank God He gave us the same thought to just fall away and when I did, the cobra did the same thing and we left the rock alone each one on the other side falling to survive.

Unfortunately, I haven't had any encounter with wildlife. I have a lot to experience.

In Subic, Philippines, we were able to see Siberian tigers up close in Zoobic Safari. We boarded a jeep (with a glass roof and metal-grid windows) with safari guides who fed the tigers raw chicken meat through the windows. The tigers (easily averaging 400 pounds of striped flesh) jumped the vehicle and gave us a close-up of their dental apparatus. Not a ride for the faint-hearted!
My closest encounter with wildlife would have to be my visit to Yellowstone National Forest. I was out walking near a hot spring and a buffalo came out of the trees not 20 yards away. I have also had a few run-ins with snakes.

When I was a kid my family used to live in an area that had a lot of snakes. Once in a while, a snake would make it into the house. I remember one time, a snake crossed the path in front of me while I was on my way from school. Let's just say crawling reptile s are not my favorite creatures.

I've been close to wildlife, but never wild animals like on an African safari. I grew up in a town that was near the mountains, so a lot of wildlife came down from the mountains. I've been close enough to a deer to touch it, and I've been pretty close to bears. A squirrel also came up and stole my food once, but I'm not sure if that really counts.

I've never been on a safari or anything like that, but I recently went on a trip to the Yukon and I saw tons of wildlife there. We were just a few feet a way from a huge bear. We were on a boardwalk above a stream and it was walking in the water below catching fish. It didn't pay any attention to us, it was just focused on eating to store up fat for winter.
