I was bored and the scene was upsetting and never expected it to flow in that set up

I'm hoping in the sequel, during one of Sarah's dissociations, that she is lead to a place on the peninsula close to the wilderness. I hope she finds an area with several artifacts and ancient pieces that will help them fight Buckhorn.

That would be great, and a big relief to frustrated readers like me???

I did not like the fact that it was destroyed in front of them. I hate the feeling of something like that being destroyed in front of you and you can't do anything about it.

This artefact was like the centre of the story. Its destruction felt like a discontinuity to the narrative.

Atabon Della wrote:From the story, we learn that the atlatl was a very important piece; an ancient artefact. In fact Myra believed that it could save the park from the vicious activities of the Buckhorn company.

How did you feel when the atlatl was destroyed right in front of them but they could do nothing?

I felt terrible. I paused for a while before continuing my read. What was it for you?
I also felt a sense of loss when the atlatl was destroyed. The mental shout of "why" echoed in my head. I kept hoping that Sarah would remember from her time in the past where other artifacts were. I hope in the sequel we get to journey to the Marking Place.

I'm really hoping they find a few more pieces in the sequel

I thought for a second that maybe Sarah had somehow traded out the real Atlatl for a decoy and was disappointed when this was not the case!

Yeah I had that thought too. I thought Sarah faked the atlatl that was destroyed but to my greatest dismay, it was the real one.

Well, that's the hope of many readers; me inclusive.

From the description, this artifact could really be very old. How I wish it wasn't destroyed. I wished it would reach a point where Sergei would manage to date and write a paper about this atlatl.

I felt sad and ask myself "why have they done this"!

I could not believe they would destroy it, I'm guessing that they will find something way more important deep within the mountains, if the Atlatl was actually found there, there are probably other things too.

I could hardly believe it was really destroyed. I really hoped and prayed that Sarah had hid the real thing and that that was just a fake.

I was so disappointed when the atlatl was crushed. I really wanted to know exactly when it was curved from he dating.

It was awful to read! I actually kept thinking that maybe it was one of those things where they had a decoy one, and I kept expecting Sarah to come back with it. I was so disappointed when I realized that it actually was destroyed.
