Yes you are right.Amagine wrote:We definitely see that with Sarah that the experiences made her stronger.BoyLazy wrote:Compared to her evolution into a strong hearted person, she was very weak and ignorable in the beginning just like everyone. We learn from our experiences and eventually grow strong.

the growth of her character from a weak person to a strong heart is the most beautiful part of the story,Anjum wrote:I felt bad for her because she was dumped but I also felt annoyed at her behaviour in the beginning. But in the end I really loved her courage and determination. She is my favorite character.

She is definitely tough.Lest92 wrote:I understood that she had a tough time, but I thought her ingratitude at the beginning was unnecessary. I never did like Sarah but I respected her. She's a tough cookie.

This is pretty much how I felt as well, although Sarah never became my favorite character.Anjum wrote:I felt bad for her because she was dumped but I also felt annoyed at her behaviour in the beginning. But in the end I really loved her courage and determination. She is my favorite character.

Not liking her? I loved her. Difference of opinion here. She is a tough girl. That's for true.Lest92 wrote:I understood that she had a tough time, but I thought her ingratitude at the beginning was unnecessary. I never did like Sarah but I respected her. She's a tough cookie.

Exactly there was so much dynamics to her character..it is more real and close to real life. Many in those circumstances will be like that.meteku4 wrote:With her poor background, I pitied Sarah. Then I realize that she could be very arrogant, especially the way she reacted towards Tom. This pissed me off a bit. But then then proved my assessments about her wrong.

I did find her rude, but I'm not sure that the reader is supposed to enjoy her character right from the beginning anyway.

That could be true. Maybe she was supposed to be unlikable at first.Gingerbo0ks wrote:I thought she acted exactly as one would expect a young teenager who had been pushed from pillar to post to act. I did find it hard to pin point her age, I'm not sure this was mentioned straight away?
