As a just finished my 2nd review newbie, Strong Heart is the first book I reviewed. I rated it 3 of 4 stars. Sarah's conoe adventure is when the story truly takes off. The unresolved ending leaves room for a sequel and possibly some deeper character development.

The book is amazing. I like how the story flows while also at times bringing to some of the times past. I would recommend the book to anyone who loves reading story books and more so the fictional ones.

I'm reading this book right now. I have to admit I'm not fond of the writing style, but the idea behind the book is excellent. Can't wait to see how it unfolds.

This was the very first book I reviewed on OBC, and it was such a winner. Of course, I rated it 4 out of 4 stars.

I read and honestly reviewed the story with a rating of 2 out of 4 stars. Even though I tried to understand the characters and the flow of the setting. Nothing changed and I think the location one belongs too comes in to play. So, as for me, I did not get the story easy to follow.

This was my second favourite book I've read so far this year. The characters are brilliantly portrayed and the plot threw me around like a rag in the washer. I even read parts of this book out loud to my kids and enjoyed the rapture on their faces. I do hope Mr. Sheldon's next book come out soon!

I gave this book 4 out of 4 stars as it is an interesting, technically and aesthetically well-written read. Backed by his own education and career, inspired by his own personal passions and exploits, and well-supported by a wide array of people in his personal and professional life, the author dared to challenge conventions through a unique blend of folklore and scientific knowledge to come up with a compelling adventure story.

I gave this book a 3 out of 4 in my review. I thought it was an interesting tale, combining Native American mysticism with a story about an ornery teenaged girl's travels with her newfound family. The beginning and ending weren't great in my opinion, and the characterization of several of the main characters didn't quite work for me, but it was still an entertaining read. I feel like a lot of teenagers and adults could get enjoyment out of reading it. (Also I really liked the second plot about Strong Heart's travels. I almost wish that was its own book.)

I love how the story was able to convey Myra and Sergei, two different people with different beliefs and still was able to bring them together in harmony. I would anyway, give it a 2 out of 4 stars; the characters felt forced rather than real with engaging attributes. It was like a fictional story that never escaped the realms of fiction.

I rated this book 3 out of 4 stars. I found the story was interesting, as there were several layers to the plot - ranging from family interactions to the origins of humanity. I found Sarah's canoe story a ltitle inaccessible, however.

i gave the book 3 out of 4 stars. I thought that her dreams or visits were longer than they should have been. Was starting to loose interest.

I enjoyed this book but, I had to give it 2 stars. While I enjoyed the scenic trek through the Olympic National Park, the wonderful historical commentary on the Native American passage from Asia to North America and even the comedy of hiking in the wilderness with an ornery citified teenager, I was less crazy about Sarah's journey. The characters, in both the main story as well as Sarah's secondary tale, were underdeveloped. I'd recommend this book to others though as I felt it was overall a good read.

I really liked the names Sarah gave the people on the boat, and the change in her attitude when she returns. I loved the whole book and gave it a 4 out of 4 stars.
