I have never been there in reality but the author definitely took me there in my imagination.

Boy Lazy - there are 900 miles of hiking tails in this million-acre park and wilderness area. This is a hiker's park - by that I mean you need to walk to get into it, there are very few roads, and much of the best country is a full day or two days' hike just to reach - but there is one road on the north side to Hurricane Ridge from which you can see much of the interior from up high.

I haven't been there, but I did once cruise up the Inside Passage from Vancouver to Alaska, and I remember just days of gazing at land which seemed untouched by man. Beautiful and stark.

Alaska sounds like a beautiful place as well!

That seems like such a peaceful and serene trip. Sometimes it's good to get away from cell phones, television and social media. It would be like a break from the world.

Oh, wow! Very beautiful! I didn't even think about looking it up.
Yes, it is indeed beautiful. I haven't been there, but these pictures tell it all that the author did a wonderful job with the descriptions. Only that the long detailed descriptions got in the way of the smooth flow of the story at times.

I like how the pictures we see match the description we read. That's an amazing eye for detail.

Beautiful pictures. We really are lucky to still have such amazing places in the world and we need to look after them. Those that live that way over in the USA are lucky to be close to such a place. It's not one I'll get to visit but I can imagine.
