Re: Age of characters

I believe that age a person's age is sometimes not directly related to his/her physical health. What I mean is some people could bebetter 70 but since they're used to such physical activities, they could do things that 40-year-olds could do. I think Tom and William could survive another trek, especially with their determination. However, I think it would be best for them not to do it. As for Sarah, I think it was more on her personality that her age.

Well said. My grand pa was really fit even in his old age. He used to look too young for his age.

There are a lot of older people who are in good shape

Yes. Specially in villages where they have to work hard for living.

It would be a good bonding experience for the two, which is something that needs to happen, at least in my opinion.

I wonder if we will see the characters age in later books.

age isn't a factor when it comes to survival skills as much as strong will and endurance. people can be of the sane age but demonstrate different endurance capabilities.

Tom may be yes, but William won't be able to survive another trip, I don't think it's possible. He was already so tired and weary without even completing the second trip. I wonder if he would arrive in one piece.

Sadly due to their age I don't think they would make it through another trek

Yes I think they would be able to make it to that place again. They are not quite that old yet. I do not think Sarah's age played a role in her disappearance.

Oooh I'm not sure. There was certainly a lot of attention on William's health. Maybe another trek isn't the best idea.
That being said, I'm quite unfit and I'm fairly young so I probably wouldn't be able to hack it either!

I'm not a physically active person so I would have some troubles as well.
