What did you learn from the book?

If you look past the characters and the plot, there was a lot of historical and educational content to the book as well. The author out in information about different kinds of weapons used in the past, animals and cultural information about Native Americans.

After reading the book, was there anything you learned that you didn't know before? Personally, I learned about the existence of a bear called, "Short -Face." That was a rather interesting tidbit of information.

To be honest, I think the Short-face bear was the biggie one for me to learn here, too. Did you see the picture at the end of the book where the author is posing with a replica of this type of bear? It's huge!

The bear was new to me as well.

I also learned a bit about the legends of the Native American.

I learnt I can overcome any obstacle, if I persevere.

That History never dies. it relives in our past if not confronted and dealt with , or in legends as they are passed on from generation to geneartion or in nature as we endeavour to conserve it and tour it through hikes and camps or as in artefacts that we either store in museums or capture in sketches

I learned what an atlatl is and did some further research on why it is more effective than just throwing a spear/dart without it.

History never dies and it sure does repeat itself.

Good point of view. Similar to the strong characteristics displayed by her.

I got to have a deeper look into how evolutionary scientists really work and the influence of evolutionary science on society.

This part of the story was boring for me. I have never liked Scientists.

I'm not a big fan of science either.
