Yes there were many questions that remained unanswered after I completed the reading. Like what happened to them? Did Ruth tried finding Sarah? Whom did Sarah's custody went to?

It seemed to me that it was missing the resolution of storylines, and abruptly ended. I had way too many questions remaining at the end.

I would have liked more background on William and Myra. I think the book did well with sharing enough of Sarah and Tom's background for the story to make sense, but was too limited on William and Myra. What made William so loyal to Tom?

There wasn't enough information about the characters and these details could have brought a bit more understanding of their background.

I just felt that too many questions were left unanswered. But maybe I will find the answers in the other 2 books of the series.

I feel that if Sheldon spent just a little bit more time on ensuring the pace of the story was better, it would have been near-perfect. Some parts were abrupt, some long and drawn-out, so the pacing of the story didn't exactly flow. I think that one element needs some work.

I think it missed the mark on the character pool. Most of them were old and frail. I wish it had more youthful characters.

For me, there was no real characterization. The characters felt like paper cuts and they weren't believable at all. Also, their relationships felt superficial and predictable. Additionally, there were too many unnecessary descriptions of mundane facts that don't add to the story. The whole story lacked the narrative flow.

Outside the fact that i desired some more background information on the characters, i think there was nothing i found shady/wrong about this book.

I think there should be a little more background on the characters
