Has the story ended too sudden?

I was hoping to come to various conclusions at the end of the book, but most of the issues seemed unresolved. For example, how was the violent clash between Buckhorn employees and Sarah's supposed family resolved. I think the story ended too sudden. What do you think?

Now that we know there's at least a part two, we are appeased with the ending. Personally, I was happy with the ending, sequel or no sequel. Perhaps I'm too old and have gone through a lot in life, so I'm more accepting of "unfinished" stories.

Like Molina said, the fact that there is a sequel to the novel goes a long way towards explaining the reason why some questions were left unanswered. due to the sequel the ending was not abrupt.

Hello Dear, you sounded like you're usually afraid of bad endings :) . But it is good to know that there is a second part to the story. Thanks for the information.

I love a great cliff hanger to get me chewing on my nails especially if there is a sequel...

I definitely think the ending was too hasty and quick. I heard there is going to be a sequel but book one should have ended a little better.

Yeah, this has been my very concern.

I felt a hint of resolve at the end of it, even with all the other issues still in growing conflict. it was a sort of rallying thing, but I agree it could have been a bit stronger or left off with a bit more direction for the sequel to pick up with.

I agree. I also thought the ending was too abrupt.

I just hope the sequel give us a little resolution with some of the other issues though.

well one would say the book has ended in tragedy, whereby every reader has to think of what happened next.the writer of this book did that deliberately to give more room for broading our minds

That could be the case. He wanted to end in suspense.

Yeah, you guys may be right. It could also be his own way of beginning the second part of the book.

I was surprised at the ending as well but sometimes I like things to be left to my imagination. I made up my own happy ending.
