I can definitely imagine Strong Heart as a film. In fact, I think that would be one of those rare occasions when the film is better than a book. Imagine the scenery we would witness on the screen; also, the clever use of special effects would help bring the Ice Age to life.

I believe the Strong Heart tales might make a terrific movie IF they were divided up a little bit throughout, like flashbacks, rather than in enormous chunks as in the text.

Yes, I think the story could be a movie. "Jurassic Park" comes to mind. The location in the Olympic Mountains would be the most draw. It would be fun to see the characters, of course. The ice age scenes and those First Human characters would be most exciting especially the costumes and the handmade boat and their hunting methods. The author described the land, the people and the town so well, I would hope a movie would do it justice. Many times, the book is just better, than the movie. "Gone on the Wind" is an exception, the movie was so amazing, I could never get through the book. I just watched "Australia" and that was a great movie with a difficult location in such a barren land, that was well made. You really felt like you were there. I had just read a book that part of it was in Australia, in same time in history as the movie. and it described the land just the same as I saw in the movie. I would what the "Strong Heart" movie to be in 3 movies to cover the 2 other books, "Adrift" and "Totem" as it was a wonderful adventure and loved each book.

I believe it will make an interesting movie; stories of this genre usually do.
