I would definitely say that there was way too much focus on the sex scenes and not nearly enough on the actual plot. Although, to be honest, I wasn't overly fond of the actual plot either.

Yeah, definitely. I think there is a way this could have worked, but the author didn't give the story a chance to develop naturally, instead focusing on getting to the next sex scene instead.

The description of Jennifer that comes through in the first chapter is of a courageous, strong, self-controlled leader. Unfortunately, as the story went on, it was only her academic intelligence and liberal sexuality that developed in her character. That self-sufficient, controlled, courageous leader was gone.

I agree, somewhat, but I'd also argue that it returned when her sister took her to save her team.

It definitely was. I felt like the sex scenes were unnecessary and felt like the story would have progressed better without them. It made me lose interest in the book altogether, making it very difficult to finish.

I think the main storyline was very interesting however in the second half, it was almost Jen had been replaced by a different character. I hated how it fetishised sex with the threesomes and orgies.

Yeah I feel the sex scenes in the book were just too many; almost truncated the entire story.
