The main theme I noticed was redemption. Even after making mistakes that are seemingly permanent its possible to redeem yourself,at least partially.

Encountering people from other countries and cultures in a book is always intersting--especially is the author did their research! Then you can actually learn a little bit about the culture!

I am gonna add that sex scenes are irritating here...

The themes in the book include continuity and strength. There are also other lessons in the book

The main theme that I found prevalent in this book is the theme of change. There are many things that change as worlds progress, some positively, and some negatively. The thing that sparked my interest were the things someone from the future would have to do in order to conceal that they were, in fact, from the future. This in itself is interesting, but it also says something about what the author HOPES will change in the world as we move forward (increased intelligence, increased health, biological enhancements, etc).

Amie Gene wrote: 22 Nov 2017, 01:14 The theme I saw in the book was that you need to be willing to fix your mistakes. Jennifer felt guilty for leaving Kylie and the team behind through the whole book, and when she finally went back and rescued them, she felt like a weight had been lifted off of her chest.
I thought bravery and strength are the major :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat:

I haven't yet read the book. Sounds like an interesting and fun read. Must give it a try.

We can definitely say that the explicit scenes seemed to be a strong theme throughout the book.

For a book that received very mixed reviews in terms of rating, there are lot of interesting and varied themes noticed by readers. I find it quite interesting that different people take different messages from the book.

I am currently reading this book. So far, I have seen the theme of change and finding love in an unexpected place (although it could have been better portrayed).

While it was adventurous because of the time travel and all the action, I think romance was also an underlying theme, however, due to the writing, instead of romance, sex is what it seemed to be about.

Apart from the romance and the passions, a strong thread was the theme of problem resolution and conflict management(inner as well as external).
While there was a lot played out in the open, there was a lot for the mind too.
